Write to contact@maduriver.boats. It reaches the people who write the site, and it is the only channel we operate.
If you have a booking problem
We cannot help directly, and it is important to say so plainly. Madu River Boats does not sell tickets, take payments or operate tours. If you booked through a link on this site, your contract is with GetYourGuide and the supplier named on your voucher.
For changes, cancellations, refunds and no-shows, use the customer service contact on your booking confirmation. They have your reference; we do not.
What we can do is tell you whether something you were told at a jetty sounds normal for this river. Send us the detail and we will give you an honest answer.
If you are correcting something
These are the messages we most want. Prices move, jetties change hands, businesses close, and a guide written from the coast still gets things wrong.
Useful corrections include:
- A price on this site that no longer matches reality
- A meeting point that has moved
- An operator that has closed, merged or changed name
- A fact about the wetland we have got wrong
- A broken link or a tour that no longer exists
Tell us what you saw and roughly when. We will check it, change it, and update the date on the page.
If you are a boat operator
If your business is covered on this site and something on your page is factually wrong, write to us and we will correct it. We take that seriously — these pages are read by people deciding where to spend money.
Two things we will not do. We will not remove accurate criticism, and we will not sell placement. Paying for a better position is not available at any price, which is the only reason the operator pages are worth reading.
If your business is not covered and you think it should be, tell us where the jetty is and what you run. We add operators when we can verify they exist and are working.
If you are a journalist or researcher
Happy to help. We hold notes on jetty locations, operator listings and how the pricing works on this estuary, and we are glad to point you at primary sources — the Ramsar listing in particular is more useful than most secondary coverage.
What we do not want
- Guest post offers
- Link exchange requests
- Content marketing pitches
- Anything beginning “I came across your website and noticed”
These go unanswered. Nothing personal.
Postal
We do not publish a street address. This is a small editorial operation, not a shopfront, and the email is answered faster than anything sent by post to Sri Lanka would be.
